Coke has released a peek of the first 12 seconds of its upcoming “Mean Troy” Super Bowl spot. The ad is a remake of the classic 1980 Mean Joe Greene ad and stars Steelers’ safety Troy Palomalu. In the video, Mean Joe reveals in an interview at the end, that the last half of the spot features an interesting “twist” on the old spot. Check it out here.
We’re not sure what the twist is, but we’ve seen reports that Troy will show off his tackling skills, so we’re hoping he takes out the kid with a crushing blindside hit, grabs the Coke and does an in-your-face dance while the youngster crawls away. Oh, and then he throws the kid his jersey.
