GoDaddy has announced with a news release its plans for this year’s batch of the company’s Super Bowl spots. According to the release, the web domain name registry biz will air two spots during the game and, adhering to FOX’s requirement for all in-game ad buyers, one spot during the pre-game show. The spots will feature GoDaddy spokespuppet Danica Patrick and newcomer Jillan Michaels (a.k.a. “the mean trainer from Biggest Loser”).
GoDaddy CEO Bob Parsons calls the Patrick/Michaels duo “sheer Super Bowl magic” and vows that with this year’s ads, “Go Daddy is going to be as edgy as ever – in fact, our goal is to ‘out Go Daddy’ ourselves!” Feel free to interpret that statement however you’d like.
