It’s almost as if you’re trying to match their on-field athletic prowess with some digestive feats of your own. Unfortunately, unless you’re Joey Chestnut (the man has his own Topps trading card!), only one of those skills will help you pull down a six- to eight-figure salary.
This unavoidable intersection of food and sport is what the new and improved Spotblog is all about. Oh sure, I’ll still bring you all the latest news about the Super Bowl commercials, most of which you’ll read in January, but during the other 11 months of the year, I’ll be dishing out all sorts of sports-themed recipes, facts, stories and insight… starting next week with a recipe for a local culinary favorite from each of the two World Series teams. And then I’ll let a poll decide the best recipe. Because just like sports, food is also better with a little competition to fuel the fire.
